4th "smart device" ecosystem I'm switching to because hardware is always amazing but software seems impossible for companies. Problems with app right away. Forces you to create account before even seeing the app, then refuses to verify email. I get the code, but the app never provides anywhere to enter the code. These could be the most amazing devices ever, but are useless if the app doesn't work. Long term, it makes me hesitant to buy more and be stuck hoping they keep servers alive.

This is a terrible app. Bought some Shelly buttons for home automation.. Can't create a room, it just goes away when you click on. Can't add a device, it finds it, give it a name, you can't select a room because guess what, you can't create rooms. I selected hidden devices and it lets you save and then, it's gone. Time for a new dev team.

Wow, Ithis app is bad. To add a Shelly RGBW2 , I first have to connect my phone to the shelly wifi, then before going to the next step, I have to connect my phone back to a wifi with internet or else the app hangs. If while connected to the shelly wifi you try to add a new room when adding the device, the app doesn't add the room nor does it give you any error message. If you put the app in background and return to it, it goes to the main menu instead of where you were.

I put the Shelly relays into my yard lights sourced from the garage. Every time I wanted to turn the yard lights on, the app wanted to update and download up to 77 files - no kidding. By the time it was done, the guests had arrived to a dark yard. Finally we got to a point where the app actually worked when needed. And now they tell me to install a new app. The new app, wants me to set everything up from scratch. Nope. If it can't use the old setup, Shelly is dead to me. Customer lost. Edited

Thank you for your feedback! You can use your old setup - login with the same account in the new app and all devices and setups will be there. You can customise the main menu and select the "Home" tab as your main page. This way the app will look and feel like the old one. For faster access to devices you can use widgets on the phone screen.

Widgets do not work. May work for a while then when a software update is available they either break if you stay on the old version or sometimes break if you upgrade to the new version. installed a 2PM, paired with a Galaxy S24+ works in the app, but widgets do nothing after adding them. Ran the S24 software update to the latest version, readded the widgets they worked for 24 hours but have now stopped working again. Just completely unreliable.
