a lot of roguelikes claim to be different every time, but offer only minor adjustments to how you play from one run to another. not this one. each of the six clans has its own gimmicks that require a different strategy, and you pick 2 for each run. moreover, each clan has 2 champions, and each champion has 3 offered specializations. Monster Train does more than just offer lots of permutations, it makes each one truly unique fyi, this is a demo, and the full game is 9.99$ (still worth it)

PLEASE fix the cloud save feature. Or more accurately, make the game keep your cloud save setting. As is, cloud saving can lock the app by finding a save conflict, requiring you to choose a save, loading home screen, which finds another conflict. This loop can sometimes not be escaped, and you must reinstall. This can be prevented by turning off cloud save immediately. But if you fully close the app window cloud save will turn on when the app is opened again, thus the glitch loop can restart. Edited

Look, Monster Train is easily one of the best deck building roguelites of all time, and now it's on your phone. You get one run for free, and then it a $10 purchase after for the full game, no ads, and the DLC included. It's a great deal and worth it if you love the game like I do. Also, the touch controls work flawlessly, game looks great & has a high frame mode to make it easier on the eyes as well. No controller support, but it's fine. And it looks & works great on my Fold 5.

I loved this on PC and it's just as fun on mobile. My only gripe is that I wish it was possible to zoom in on the rooms and forego seeing the framing around the train. I realize it's necessary to see the bosses, but otherwise it's just dead space taking up a huge amount of the extremely limited square inchage available on a phone screen. It would be nice if there was at least an option for players who want it. Otherwise this is an excellent port!

Great game (on pc). Here the screen realstate is baddly optimised to the point of unplayability, specially if you have the pc version to compare. The main flaw is the hand realstate, it's tiny. Cards overlap in the middle bottom of the screen which makes it hard to see them, then choosing one and trying to play it sometimes drags the wrong card which causes missplays. Great game, bad port.
