Great, refreshing take on the calendar! The aesthetic brings back analog calendar features like post-its and scribbled-in info which add a lot of much-needed personalization to your calendar! The main feature that's missing from the launch version is the ability to export your hey calendar to non-hey users/formats. The app is great, but my home screen widgets, smart watch etc can't currently consume or show events from my hey calendar, which is a bit limiting.

Edit; Apparently in the app there is a way to make the time show PM & AM, but I have no idea how I did it. It isn't missing, it just isn't easily accessible. I'm hoping in the future someone fixed it so it is easier to set. I mean, if I'm in the United States and you collect that information, you should assume that most here are using 12 hour time, not 24 hour; and by default set it to it in this region, then provide a toggle in settings in case someone wants to change it. I Love 37Signals and Hey! email, and I'm an earlier adopter nature and by choice. Hey! calendar is attempting to fix some things that are broken, which is admirable, but also throws out standards that are ingrained which is a too many battles are too many fronts at once. particularly since it's a closed platform and there's no desktop native version the focus should be on simplicity and familiarity instead of mind-blowing adjustments to the mouse trap. forgive the metaphors ...I'm moody

This is hard to evaluate! 5 stars for the concept, 4 stars for the execution, 3 stars for the current buggy state and 1 star for accessibility. But the team is quickly fixing things up. Definitely give it a spin. The good: 💯unexpectedly best handling of cal. invites from various systems, calendar, 🌈habit / well being tracker and time-tracker in one app. Rename your ❤️important days a give them custom background! The bad: no search, recurring events have no end date, AM/PM only, bugs.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with it so far! On those features we don't have just yet, hang tight. It's v1 with lots of room for new and exciting updates. 😄

The Hey Calendar app impresses with so many great innovative features, but I struggle to add picture backgrounds on the mobile version. Inconveniences like the inability to edit specific days for event repetitions and create events with subtasks exist. Additionally, the $99 pricing, bundled with personal email, dissuades my interest as I only need the calendar service. A widget would also be a plus. Addressing these concerns would greatly improve user experience. Edited
