This app requires you to add money to your account before charging (minimum $20) and if you charge more than the $20 you loaded, it requires you to put another $20 onto your account even if you only spent $0.01 more than what was in your account. I also can't find a way, in the app, to remove your payment card without adding a new one. Other ways I charge only charge you after you've completed your charge and only got the amount you used.

Hi, apologies for any confusion. Becoming a Blink member is free, but adding funds is essential for paid chargers. During setup, we prompt you to add funds. Though optional, funds are necessary for fee-based charging. For questions or refund requests, reach our team at

Trapped using this service at my appartment, I wish I had done some research because our last appartment had chargepoint and I naively assumed they would be similar. Blink forces you to load a minimum of $20, connecting is slow and buggy- if it works. No notification for when you're done charging so you keep paying them. Reporting broken chargers does absolutely nothing. The ones actually by my appartment have been unresponsive for at 2 months. Horrible experience all around. Avoid at all costs.

The process is frustrating. I get charged a $3 start fee even when the charging session fails due to a fault in their machine. Every time, I have to call customer support to request a refund for something that shouldn't have been charged in the first place. Their system should be smart enough to automatically waive the fee if the issue is on their end. It's ridiculous—I’ve never had to deal with this kind of hassle with other EV charging providers. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Frustrating. Standing at the Blink station, yet it's not selectable on the map. Scan the QR from the app and it only goes to the installer page. RFID it and the Chargepoint app takes over. Manual entry is impossible because station ID is hidden Gave up after 20 minutes and went to a different charger. That charged by map selection, which worked, after rfid and qr continued to fail.

I installed this app and as of 1 hour later I'm still not able to charge my vehicle. I can't get into account settings, can't turn off auto refill, it won't connect to any of the four chargers, and when I try to log in, it flashes and then says "session expired", over and over again. This app is the number one argument for not getting an electric car. oh, and did I mention that is incredibly slow? 25% in about 3 hours.
