I recently got a Pixel 9 Pro and noticed this app has a horrible bug when I switch out of it and then come back into it. I don't recall having this issue on my Samsung S21 Ultra. Tip: If you just want to live view your cameras the WebUI is very good at adjusting to screen sizes. Sometimes I just launch into that instead of using the app on mobile if bandwidth isn't a concern and I don't need notifications. Edited

Extremely far behind pretty much every competitor. Suffers greatly when resuming from being in the background to the point of having to close and re-open to get back into video. It just seems like very little care was out into the app and it was designed for minimal functionality and/or speed. Edited

Who designed this app? Guessing a high school student. At minimum, not a professional. The app is just, weak. It's functional to a degree, and the UI is decent. But ... You open it, check some cameras, then switch to another app. When you return to Blue Iris, it no longer connects to cameras. So each use of it requires you to terminate the app. Performance on searching and skipping through history videos is really bad. When a clip ends it shows a date of 2015 lol Edited

4 Desktop versions and an Android update and sounds are pretty much fixed finally. BUT push alerts are still hit and miss. Some are fast, others take minutes or longer. Or never show up. Changing priority from normal to high doesn't change that either. Annoying to pay for this app in addition to the desktop version for something crucial like timely alerts thst do not work properly. I paid for the maintenance contract. Anyone who didn't is now SOL, and won't get updates to a fixed version. Edited

I've been using Blue iris since 2016. The mobile app has always been so-so, but for realtime monitoring and basic functionality it works alright. If you want to truly admin the app, you need to log into the console. For a closed circuit solution, this is the solution to have. Use a VPN tunnel in to your home/work network to access, I don't recommend exposing the app externally. This product isn't for someone non-technical, it's for IT professionals who see the forest for the trees.
