I will say this, the game is very contradictory. The idea is to be overwhelmed in the game by the overlord but not to feel like everything is wasted. Exploration is discouraged because each quest is put on a time limit but at the same time if you dont explore the game punishes you by increasing the difficulty exponentially. Also some of the side quest are to difficult for any amount of players. Monsters just keep spawning so nothing can be done. It makes the game irritating and not fun at all.4⭐

Not enough, there are only 3 campaigns with the original game in the app, they don't even use all the villains with the original game... also they spawn extremely fast sometimes I haven't even killed them all in time for more to pawn yet bam more. Ettin seems to be the games favorite monster I get them in almost every other room.

Unbalanced and completely broken game system (w/ app or w/ out app). Taking the time to set it all up only to have heroes totally overwhelmed in an impossible scenario is not fun. If you explore, you die; if you get attacked by more than one enemy, you die; if you take your time, die; if you go too fast; die. This was a slap dash design by FFG. Despite all the cool looking pieces, art, and characters, it's a broken game that's nothing more than a big, frustrating, headache. Avoid the hassle.

It is a free app that adds a new way to play the game. It becomes a regular dungeon crawl rather then a 4v1 tactical and competitive game. You do need to have the game but the app mixes tilles from different expansions and you get different side quests. You can use the app to play with your children as it seems noob friendly enough.

Great addition to the game as I prefer playing co-op. I do wish there were more campaigns or a way to use the standard campaigns with the app as FF would still get to encourage purchase of the expansions to get additional campaigns. Edited
