Updating to 4 Stars after seeing the new app in action during spicy weather in the River Valley. Was able to see weather warnings very clearly. Also able find and view radar easily. Best part, the live severe weather stream was immediately accessible-- didn't have to hunt for it or watch ads!!! Yes!! Give us a dark mode option, and I will update again to 5 stars! Thank you for the improvements! Edited

App is a data hog filled with clickbait. Any news link you click on auto plays a full video/audio add that you have to physically stop. No way to turn off this function. This is an add app disguised as a news app. Edit: It gets worse. Now the sidebar opens once the page fully loads. To get rid of it you have to back out of the app and start over. Deleting this app. 5news has become a laughing stock. Can't rely on them for anything in the River Valley anymore. Edit #2: now there are popups Edited

The new app looks incredible now. Alot better, easier to navigate and find what stories are going on. Great Job on the looks and ease of use now. Only thing I would like to see is a few more options on the layer list in the weather, and to be able to add more than just 1 at a time. Percipation and lightning cannot be same time. Rain and clouds cant highlight both at same time. Other than that... beautiful new app and GREAT JOB on the looks and able to find stories easier. AWESOME!! GREAT JOB!!!!

Terrible app. Always issues watching, even when clicking "watch now" or when clicking a story from notification. When severe weather hits and I click "watch live" there's long ads that prevent me from getting important and urgent information about severe weather. Most of the time, the video at the top doesn't match the story I'm reading. Notifications that come up may not always load and then you can't find the story. Just terrible for breaking news, severe weather, and not user friendly.

If the Waze app showed where an accident was instead of stupid faces, and the weather wouldn't freeze up so often. I would give it five stars. Go back to old fashioned red spots on the highway for accidents. Get rid of the silly faces. And actually show where the accident is. can't use the app radar if you're in Mississippi. freezes up.
