I found an advertisement for this game and it looked like an awesome option for my kindergartener. The difficulty starts at first grade so I had my worries that it might be tough for her but from what I can tell it does a great job at gauging their abilities. It starts super easy and seems to get a little harder if she's getting a lot of questions in a category correct. I started playing too to help encourage her to play, and honestly it's a lot of fun. it's kinda like pokemon but different!

Okay, I used to really like this game; it had simple controls, fun ways to study math and English, everything an educational game needed. But the new update with the new character design is really awful. Compared to the old design, the new character just looks so lifeless and boring. To add onto it, the controls became more difficult to figure out. It also seems way more pay-to-play then before, with promotions of the membership everywhere.

I really love Prodigy, I really do! But, I just HATE the fact that we have to be a member to evolve pets, and climb the Dark Tower. Also, can you at least make the rescue pet option for free after wasting other pets on it? It's annoying, and unfair. I play this at school sometimes, and other classmates can agree, some of them even quit because mostly everything needs membership. I understand you need to make money, but, if you want to have more people playing your game, make it fun and free!

This was fun, but the art changed and the game lost its unique and fun game feeling, it just felt like a cheap update to roll in interest. Some of the game mechanics also changed in a way that didn't make sense. I liked how cool the pets I collected were, and now they all have these cute expressions on, if they are targeting this for 9-12, I feel like there shouldn't be a need to make it baby game-coded. Even the app still keeps the pixel art style, I wish you could just pick a mode to play on. Edited

I played prodigy since I was in 4th grade and it was the best thing ever. Overtime, there was a few updates like the layout of the game but it was still fun nevertheless. Then an update happened that made me hate prodigy forever. Battles, completely different! Spells/gear, completely different! And the worst of all, I can't evolve my pets without paying for the membership! The membership is way too pricey for all of that! I wish prodigy would go back to the way it was when it first came out.
