Tried out the free version for a few days and really liked it. Took me some time to figure out the rest timer between sets actually starts when you check off the set. I was thinking about it backwards and checking the set when I started it - not as I was completing it - so I wasn't sure why the timer was running. But once I got my head straight that part was fine. I really like this app. There are TON of settings. The only suggestion I might have is a more comprehensive overview video or even make the settings searchable so its a bit easier to find things. Happily giving this five stars - great app - it's clear the developer has given this a ton of thought and care. I upgraded to the paid version today.

I'm a vet tech. My job is heavily reliant on physical fitness: stamina, strength, and flexibility. But while I know a whole lot about anatomy and physiology, I never understood a good and proper way to increase my strength gradually. This app lays it out for me: a simple, easy-to-use, straightforward method that doesn't take too much time and even does the math *for* me. As far as fitness apps go, the results from this one are self-evident; I'm stronger than I've ever been! Thank you, 5/3/1!

Can be complicated to use but very feature packed. This app has a lot of features but it really takes some time to sit down and go through all the menu options (and there are a lot!) to get your app interface looking the way you want it. It's not easy to just pick up and go. I wish the interface was easier to customize and required less time but let's be real, if you're serious about your training it's probably worth setting up.

I like the workload and the split. I don't like that the app doesn't remember the weight I used in the BBB sets and accessory lifts going in to the next workout, even though I hit save each time. UPDATE: The developer responded to me educating me on what setting to use to correct my issue. Now 4 stars. I'd only ask for updated videos on using the app. Edited

Hello Donnie,
BBB set are based on the configured percentages and don't have to be the same for all weeks. Assistance exercises should show the previous weights if the "Setting" , "Progression" , " Use previous weights" is on.

I've read through Wendler's book and this honestly helps you keep track of his methods. I don't have the paid version but even this free version is good enough to track percentages, and even PR goals. Excellent. Update: I eventually bought the paid version, and been using it for 3 years or so. I lot more options, and practical additions for those wanting to hone in your training. Love the options to awitch to 3/5/1 variations, and many options for specific programing. Edited
