I've had this about a year. The description reads: "Automatically back up the important things on your phone, like photos, contacts and messages... notice it says "like." Now I personally regard my calendar as an important thing. I accidentally deleted my calendar on another device. had a rude awakening that the backup DID NOT include calendar nor does it have the capacity to include the calendar. in fact you need a non Google app in order to be able to import and export a calendar back up.

It's not what I thought it was, but that's on me. I originally subscribed for the 2tb storage, thinking i could back up all of my devices, including my PC. Unfortunately, unless I overlooked something, you can only use it to back up your android devices; phone, tablet, chromebook, etc. The app otherwise works exactly how it's supposed to do, I just can't fathom needing all that extra storage for just my phone.

Google is OK. But they, like so many businesses today are so concerned with clever marketing to only offer the max choices that it makes it difficult to easily peruse all of the available options for the service. Tiresome. The jury is still out on whether or not the AI feature is useful in the long run. I imagine it will only improve. But enough of being clever and hiding all of the choices we have. Respect your clientelle.

Not impressed. Been paying a monthly premium, switched to a new phone, and apparently my old phone had everything backed up except the SMS history (even though it's turned on to back those up). Talked to Google One customer service several times and they've been looking into this issue for almost a month and even got snappy with me that I'm not patient enough. Is it too much to ask to be able to transfer my data from one device to another, especially if I've been paying for storage?

my subscription was on AP on a card that updated the exp date. Google told me to upgrade for storage. they gave me 1GB, and I have over 1.4GB, now it wants me to upgrade again, except I pay annually. So $20 for 1GB, or $30 for 2 GB. now I have to pay $30 MORE instead of y'all just telling me I was over limit when I chose, or allowing a $10 "upgrade". Edited
