Having a good time with it so far, feels more like an actual game than most mobile games at this point. If try to only do story and what is strictly required the power creep is gonna hit pretty hard. A little annoying that all crystal rewards are sent to the "gift box" when earned and need to be collected there instead just put into the inventory. Edited

Yeah, so far, I think it's pretty great. I really wish they'd bring Dragon Quest of the Stars back, but this has a similar vibe as far as armor and weapon collection and being able to see the equipment on your character. Roguelite seems like a strong classification for it, cause it's not your typical roguelite, but it has the elements of being able to pick different feats that are reset upon new levels. I like that concept. I'm actually really enjoying it!

So far this game has been great. I was afraid of what an ARPG Dragon Quest would look like because I prefer the old turn based style, but I actually really like this. it's smooth, it's pretty intuitive, and I like the rogue lite features they worked in. Best part: it uses the traditional Dragon Quest music wherever it can, which is extremely nostalgic for me. Seeing other callbacks like metal slime gear is great as well. It also has an actual storyline, which has been good so far.

Cash grab that misses the point of the genre. Barely any upgrades before bosses, so no real build crafting or meaningful choices. The core loop just isn’t there. It clearly wants to be an AFK idle grinder. There’s almost no engagement. Even the currency is confusing. “Gems” and paid gems look the same. Looks like Dragon Quest. That’s it. Literally, play anything else and have more fun.

The amount of people complaining is ridiculous. Zero patience and tolerance of anything that doesn't fit what they believe it should be. The game is great and loved the pre install, haven't had any issues yet except some frame drops but that's just my phone hasn't impacted play at all. Will change in the future if necessary. Recommend giving it a try.
