When I ran for the first time I noticed a discrepancy in the timing between bleeps, from looking online I read that if you put your device on airplane mode it will fix this. Having done that I can say that this isn't always the case, sometimes it'll work flawlessly (better with headphones) and sometimes it completely misses bleeps so you're left standing there wondering what's going on. Unfortunately (fortunately?), the app cannot take control of your device. Consequently, other stuff running will affect real-time, high-precision apps like Bleep Test. Force stop those always-on apps like FB, IG, TT, etc. Or, just run it on that older, discarded, cleaner phone.

Does exactly what you need it to, with no messing about. You get a count down to start you off, beeps are clear and voice tells you as you go up each level. You can turn the voice off if you prefer and just run with the beeps, which is a great way of finding out what level you are actually capable of instead of stressing about which level the voice is at or how soon is going to be before you hit the next level.

Just back home from attempting a bleep session. Like a previous review the bleeps were not accurate and out of sync at times! Some very close together and others way too long between shuttles. Quite annoying as I was looking forward to noting a genuine attempt as I'm training to a certain level. I had airplane mode on as suggested aswell. Edited

Sorry to hear this. Real-time, high-precision apps are at the mercy of other activity on the device. Try any of the following: 1. Force stop always-active apps - FB, etc 2. Run on a "backup" device. For 1 & 2, do dry runs first. 3.

When you hit level 2/3 there are 2 occasions when the beep goes out of sync,I have actually timed it on a stopwatch and it's 4 seconds between beeps . Also the beep isn't always synchronised with the time so if it's in your hand you reach one end as the clock hits zero but the beep doesn't sound until it's counted 2/3...then it's a short interval before the next beep which throws you out.Tried it out on airplane mode as advised but still loses it ,level 3.3 secs between beep on one occasion. Simple, effective, all the information you need. Without this app I wouldn't have been able to pass the bleep test to my required level. I go to a local park with a level 5 a side outdoor basket ball or football court. Measure 15 meters and begin the test. Good luck to everyone
