It makes it so much more convenient to order with the app. I don't even know how to order my usuals in person! Haha. The only thing that is frustrating is the limited customization options for some things. Some drinks only allow certain customizations, like not being able to add cold foam to a certain drink or, something along those lines.

Original review (2017): I have been going to Starbucks on and off for several years. I recently downloaded this app and registered my cards. It was super simple. I like the convenience of using my phone to order and pay in-store. On 8/7/21, I wrote a scathing review b/c the app was almost unusable. Today (7/18/25), it's been much improved. I did notice that my PIN security disappeared. I hope there's a way to set up a PIN again to get into the app. Otherwise, the app is much improved (for now).

Aggravated at my recent attempts to use the app at one particular location. In back-to-back attempts, I've been told the order was not received by the location. It makes using the mobile app pointless and also ties up others waiting in drive-thru to get their order & go quickly. Can't provide positive OR negative feedback via the app. Do better designers!

Several times, I've ordered items off the app and gone to pick them up. What I ordered was not available because the app is not correct, and the stores can not refund me directly. I have to contact customer service and handle the transactions that way. It's most frustrating and takes additional time out of an already hectic schedule. Ordering off the app used to be convenient now (especially with all their continuous menu changes) I'm lucky if my order is even on time or available

Recently, this app has been crashing when I choose a location, and I'm unable to use the online order. I am only able to order inside or drive thru. App is super frustrating, and it closes and says it has a bug and I've tried deleting the app, restarting my phone, and nothing has worked and zero updates either for the app. super frustrating! not happy
